Balancing Columns by
Mocahantas
I'm using Word 2003. I've created a document that is over 100 pages in
newsletter-style column format. Is there a way to make the text balance on
each page of the document, so that the top line of each column, on each page,
is on the same line? The only thing I could find that relates to this is...

RHS
Hi, I've got Word 2002 with SP3.
In print view it show text smaller than it is and it raises up the footer
data three inches. When printed it outputs the same thing. Margins are set
fine.
Tried different printers, and different computers with same results.
Thanks,

Mirrored Gutters in Landscape Mode, for Binding on "Long" Edge by
funkychateau
Suzanne,
Has anyone come up with a workaround for this problem? I'm currently
facing the same issue as you discussed here in 2001.
I have an approximately 100-sheet (200-page) book in landscape mode. I
want to bind it along the "long" edge such that the user, when flipping
pages away from him,...

Stop the Reading layout from ever appearing again!!!! by
Jordan
I prefer to see my Word 2003 docs in Print Layout view ONLY. However,
various things keep changing the view to the Reading Layout which is just
awful because the page formatting and numbering is almost never correct.
What keeps causing this view to appear and how do I abolish it from my life?

ops manual format with different margins for odd and even pages by
Kaia
We are formatting a Word document to use as an operations manual. We want to
leave a 2 in. on the outside of each page (so odd and even page formats must
alternate) for notes. When the manual is open, the left page will have an
indented margin with space for notes on the left side of the page,...

Default Page View Has Changed by
Kbeirne
When I open Word I no longer see the top and bottom of the page, only the
part where I can write information. I want to see what the whole page looks
like. How can I change it back?
The only way I can see the page as I used to is to "Insert Header and
Footer" and then not put anything into them.

Mirror margins - flaky by
Andy
I have to format some documents that have been revised a lot by several
people, so I've got lots of ghosts to contend with, but not enough time to
re-create the docs from scratch. The biggest problem I'm having is that the
mirror margins won't work consistently from page to page. Sometimes at...

One letterhead for print and digital use by
Ido
Hi!
I would like to create one letter template for our organisation, in which I
am able to include or exclude certain elements (e.g. logo & organisation
name) when printing, depending on the kind of printer I choose.
Thus, when printing the document on preprinted letterhead paper, that
already...

unable to print large documents by
Mark Ellis
I have a large document, 9X14, which whenever I try to print cuts off at the
8.5X11 margins. I have tried to change the paper settings, the printer
settings, and even when I print on a printer which can print large paper (HP
1220C) it still cuts off the text. I have tried exporting to PDF files,...

Why does word start up with blank document in email view by
Rich Stone
Recently, when starting up MS Office Word 2003, the initial view of the blank
'Normal' document is of a square sheet (rather than an A4 sheet) with the
text starting at the immediate top, suggesting it's an email. If I choose to
view the header/footer, then go back to the main document area, the...

Arranging Pages by
JaB
Morning
I have a recollection that Word can re-arrange pages in a document, this is
something I am sure I have done in the past and now have the need to do again.
Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how to do?
Many thanks

print table in one page by
Rasoul Khoshravan Azar
sometimes a table locates in two pages. (end of one page and beginning of
next page). There is a command which forces the table to be printed in one
page. I had forgotten this command. I thought it might be in table property
command but I couldn't find it there.
TIA
