Horrible, just Horrible! (Attn: Mr. Kenyon) Word 2003 mucks up my 2000 files! by
OK folks. I'm using Word 2000 and I'm a happy camper. The school recently installed Word 2003. When I open my documents son the school's computers, all hell breaks loose. Of course, I have to put up with the annoying settings of the school's program, since they have not turned off the squiggly...

??? What's the point to Word 2003? by
Good lord -- can't we ever get to a point where we can leave well enough alone? What is the point to Word XP, and now Word 2003? Word 2000 works just fine. As far as I can tell, these newer versions just have more garbage you have to turn off in order to keep Word working for you, not...

Zero Width Space by
I've heard there is such a creature -- lets you use a slash, but lets the work break at the right margin. So typing "petitioner/respondent" can do a line break thusly: * * * petitioner/ respondent * * * In Word 2000, how do I get a zero-width space? *(((({

Changing indent for all hung paragraphs by
I've got Word 2000. I've downloaded a bunch of cases. Everything is "normal" style. The hanging indents are set to hang by just 1/8 inch on the left. I want to change that to 1/2 inch. I hate to go through hundreds of pages, changing eaching hanging indent one by one. Is there a quicker...

Arrgh ! I've got to prepare a long document of a legal text. The footnotes run from 1-99, with occasional additional footnotes numbered 45.50, 45.55, etc. How do I create custom footnote entries for the extra footnotes? When I'm done with this document, is there a way to convert the footnotes to...

Continuous Break - isn't continuous by
I'm inserting Section breaks in order to force footnote numbering to restart at 1 "one". The section breaks often occur in the middle of a page. I specify a continuous section break. But Word 2000 takes me to a new page anyway! How do I get a truly "continuous" section break that will let me...
