mouse trick by

My Logitech cordless mouse acts as a uncontrolled magic wand. When I pass it over text in my large document (90,000+ words) the text jumps to another page. The mouse does not act like this is other applications. What is happening and how can I stop it?

I have a word document which has many links to excel documents. When I
change something in excel document and open word document, word asks me
whether to update the document or not. But, it does not update links now. I
have to update links one by one manually.
