How do I indent a paragraph the opposite way? by
[email protected]
I am typing a works cited page. If I consider each item on the page a paragraph, how would I indent the paragraph so that the first line is justified with the left margin, but the succeeding lines are offset toward the right? In other words it would be a sort of reverse-indent, where the first line...

Table disappears at edge of landscape page in Print layout view on by

I was entering data in an ordinary table in portrait page setup and decided I
needed to make the table wider so changed the page set up to landscape. As I
added columns, towards the right the edge of the table edges disappear as
well as the text in them. If I change to normal view or web layout...

How do I merge 4 documents into 1 without losing format of each? by
Eagle
I am using Word 2003 and have 4 documents I am trying to merge into one
without losing the original formatting of each - margins/number of pages etc.
How do I do this? I have inserted a section break each time and have then
used the Insert-File option to paste in the next document. I was...

Creating Legal Ruled Paper by
asrisl
I would like to create a 'legal pleading paper" template. That is the
kind with a double vertical line and the left (about an inch in) and a
single vertical line at the right (about a half inch in).
Not trying to put stationers out of business, but it seems that this
should be an easy thing to do...

Footer area massive by
Roland Farnsworth
Hi. I've seen similar posts from several years ago, but no answers that resolve my problem. I've a 50+ page document that turned into a 100+ page document because the footer area "grew" to cover half the page. The only content of the footer is a page # and it is in the lower right ... nothing...

Link to Previous vs Protected View by

I have written a macro that creates a new section with new page and in that page it goes to the header and turns off "Link to Previous" (by default is "on") option and makes changes to the header in the new section. Works perfectly.
However I have a specially formated table on first page that has...

Personal check printing template by
Doug
Okay, I've searched high and low for a template to fill in the blanks
of a standard 6x2.75 personal check. I can't believe I'm the only
person looking for one so I have to assume I'm just not doing a good
job searching. Does anyone know of such a template?
Thanks for any help.

Word 2007 Top Page View Cut Off by

I am using Word 2007 and something has happened to my default view. Whenever
I start a new document or open Word, the document shows on screen as 8.5x9.
The top ruler shows 8.5" with the leftmost and rightmost inches grayed out
(as expected for margins). Its scale is from -1" to +7.5". The...

Text box "dissapears" and does not print by

I'm working with a document with pictures.
Unfortunately I did not create the original document, so I don't know how
the text box was set up.
I know a text box exists in the document, but after resizing pictures and
moving them around the text box disappeared.
When I print the document the text...

Label print creep by

Hi,
I am having a problem printing labels. When printing the labels, the print
moves vertically 2.5mm per row, so by the bottom of the page the individual
label print has crept onto the label above. I have researched this problem
on Microsoft's support page, where they discuss a similar problem...
