I have some saved tables in MS Word 2002 that were working properly.
However; just recently, when I view them they appear fine , but when I print
them the shading will be shifted slightly off. And now when I create
shading within a new table it appears fine but prints off, so saved documents

shading has shifted by
dean212
I have tables saved in MS Word 2002 that look fine but when I print them the
shading within the cells does not line up. And now when I create a new
table even though it looks correct on the screen it prints slightly off. Any
ideas on what has changed and how to correct this?

Rounding Down in Word by
macropod
Hi jtay,
This is more complex than in Excel - unfortunately, Word lacks a round
up/down function, and simply using a numeric picture switch will only round
to the nearest unit, not up or down. You can do it though with a bit of
field coding.
For a 'tutorial' with examples of how you can do this...

every other column rule bold by
Klaus Linke
Office XP, Word 2002
I have a large table in which I want to make every other column line
bold (or 1 pt. instead of 1/2 pt.). Is there a way to do this?
TIA
Hi Linda,
It's also pretty easy to set up a new table style, and set the top (or
bottom) border for even (or odd) column stripes...

Where Tables Break by
klam
My table rows do not break in the right place. The header rows repeat as
they should but I am experiencing two problems: 1. there is too much blank
space left on the page and it starts a new table on the next page, and 2. on
some pages, it prints the table row right thru the footer and the bottom...

Can tables be permanently set to Fixed Column Width? by
Klaus Linke

A different way to accomplish what you want is to

attach it to a toolbar button.
I use a macro that

Table line by

Table Line at bottom of page shows upper half of sentence. Then the sentence
is printed fully on the next page. LOOKS AWFUL!

Text cut off in table at bottom of page by
David Best
There are several postings about this issue, and I spent all day
trying to get to the root cause and figured I might as well post what
I found for others to benefit. Many have speculated it is a printer
driver issue, or margin settings, or a font problem, etc. None of
these potential casues were...

Indenting a bullet list in a table cell. by
Fred Holmes
In "plain text" with a bullet list, pressing the tab key will indent
the bullet one level.
How do I do this with a bullet list inside a cell of a table?
Pressing Tab takes the insertion point to the next cell of the table.
Pressing Ctrl-Tab inserts an actual tab character in the text.

Revision Bars Outside Tables by

Is there a way that I can insert revision bars that would be anchored to a
specific table cell? Presently, it is being done by drawing a line in the
margin; however that way does not stay with the text that was changed. This
is for a big tech manual with a part number catalog in it. This...
