My page default has changed to 2 columns in Word 2003 and I can't get it to change back to 1. I have to go in and change each individual new document I start! Somebody suggested I go into Options - General - (deselect) Allow Starting in Reading Layout but it didn't change.

How do I change the page order in MS Word? by vladm
I am trying to change the order of the pages in a MS Word document. Basically it's a 4 pages document and I want to move page 4 to be page 1. I would like to do this without cut/paste, because the formatting of the page is quite complicated (it has a few text-boxes and transperent backgrounds).

Inserting a Section Break inserts extra pages by Scott.Thayn
If I create a new section break, whether it is Next Page, Odd, Even, or Continuous, sometimes it inserts an extra page that is not visible unless I go to "Print Preview." This doesn't happen all of the time and I can't figure out why it does it some times and not others.

Page numbers starting over, even with "Same as Previous" by pm
I generally understand page numbering in Word, however this one baffles me... I have a document w/ several sections for different formatting. At the bottom of one page it reads "Footer -Section 3- / Same as Previous" and the page number shows up as page 10. ...this is correct, as it counted...

in my dokument whenever I mark the text imidiately under a picture (any picture) and make it Italic all the rest of my dokument becomes Italic. In other words, word doesn't take in acount the marking it applies Italic from that point to the end of the dokument any ideas? khers
