Sort order on my styles is messed up ... by Robin
For some strange reason when I create a new paragraph style in Word 2007 my Header 1 and Header 2 styles are found in the style list after Normal. For example, if I create a new style called XXX and decide to base it upon Header 1, then when selecting Header 1 I see Header 3, Header 4 and...

Word 2007 How do I hide the "Update Table" tab and frame around TO by Raz
I can't find this answer in any help menu. I created a TOC, and every time I click near it, a blue frame appears around the TOC with a "shortcut" tab at the top for updating the table. I want to hide this, but can't for the life of me remember how to do it. I know it's possible, because I did...

2007 gridlines not showing up by Doug G[_2_]
I've toggled on the gridlines but in 2003, they would be spaced in alignment with the rows of text. Now, toggling them on in an exiting document does nothing. In the "align" tab, I can only set the horizontal spacing to even numbers which don't align with the text. Is there a setting i'm not...

How do I bind a minus sign to a number to remain on same line? by baugd
I want to bind a minus sign to a number so that the entire construct remains on the same line and not split between two lines (e.g., -21% on same line versus - on one line and 21% on next line). Thanks, Drew Baughman

Change case of text by jjk98
I have Word 2007. In earlier versions of Word under the Format tab there was a change case option that made it easy to change selected text to all upper, lower, etc. I cannot fund this function in Word 2007. Where is it? -- Thanks for your help - jjk98

Mid way through a Word doc, the spell checker just stops. by Gordy-UK
Its irrespective of version (2003,2007,2010) so defo something contained within the document itself. I can't see to find any embedded code or switch indicating that spelling is "off from this point". It seems to stop mid way through page two for the rest of the document.

Default Word 2007 to "No Spacing"? by shawn
Is there a setting to make Word 2007 default to use "No Spacing" under the Styles of the Home Tab? It's very annoying that it defaults to normal. I never use it!!! It's especially when doing a Mail Merge and I have to put Name, Name2, Contact, Address, Address2, etc.. all on one tiny label....
