Erratic behavior
There must be a driver and options for the touchpad somewhere on your
laptop. Every touchpad has and needs such drivers. This is a Word forum and

No bug. You cannot have different page settings in a single section. So to
have the second page in Landscape, you must add a Section Break, Next Page
immediately before and immediately following...

Erratic behavior
There should be a setup dialog for your touchpad somewhere. This is often
the Mouse applet in the Control Panel though.

This is usually due to an oversensitive touchpad: accidentally brushing the
touchpad simulates a double-tap (click of the mouse button). Either
desensitise the touchpad or disable the Double-Tap...

Hotkey for "Find again"

Sorry about that: as Suzanne pointed out, it is Alt+F9 to toggle fieldcodes.
What would help if you let us see the fieldcodes. When you search for
fields, what doesn't work? Doesn't it find...

Convert picture already in .doc file
Really. Just click on SaveAs and a dialog will open: click on Save as Type
drop down arrow and you will find the whole list of option.
