How do I find the threads that I started?

Depends on the system you are using, but often you can click on your "name"
and it will list you recent posts, or do a search for you name, AKMMS, I
found a posting about a line for someone to type...

Either use the Indent from Left feature or you can add a tab at the desired
position.
If you are going to use this setting many times, create a style with the
indent ot tab setting for easy future...

Cursor changed to tiny vertical line

Hopefully this is the old known fault, go to the 500% Zoom, then back to your
preference, the cursor should be ok.

Also see if the bodytext paragraphs do not have KWN or KLT attribute applied.
If you have too many of them applied to consecutive items you can get some
interesting results :-)

Table of Contents

Never type directly in the TOC, as when it is refresh (entire table) all
edits and formatting will be removed.
Go to the actual heading itself and do the edits there.
Show/Hide button does not...

Suzanne, I have never come across the "folded" tabs stock, I have a source of
blank 1-5 and 1-10 on Oversize A4, these are not from Avery as the Avery
stock tend to have their logo and coding on...

Complete colour in Cell

The first possible cause that comes to mind is that you have "Allow spacing
between cells" active. This spacing does not get the fill colour.

Removal of redundant spaces

Little trick for you, changing selected text from Left/Right/Justified to
Centred alignment, then back will remove superfluous spacing and tabs from
the beginning and end of the text...
