Print Preview is showing you what your printer says it is capable of
printing. There is no way to change the printable area that the printer
driver reports to Word.

Then either print or go to print preview it shows a white border around my
page cutting anything off (in this case the rectangles)
Is there anyway to get rid of this?
Note: my printer is the latest drivers and has been fully calibrated.
