Word should be able to remove all hyperlinks in a document in one go,
or remove all hyperlinks in a selected area (highlighted text)
instead of deleting them one by one in a very time-consuming process.
You can already do this.
First press Alt+F9 so all field codes are visible. The hyperlinks will
appear like
{ HYPERLINK "...the url of the link..." }
After selecting some text (or selecting nothing, to affect the whole
document), open the Replace dialog. In the Find What box, enter
^d HYPERLINK
(the ^d is a code for the field brace). Leave the Replace With box blank and
click the Replace All button.
Finally, press Alt+F9 again to collapse the remaining field codes.
