Default Word 97 to 2007 Macros

Thanks much Graham, I'll take a look at that.

With a few exceptions macros intended for Word 97 and templates that contain
them will work in Word 2007. Have you saved your document templates in a
trusted location. Word 2007 does not save templates by default in the user
templates folder as with earlier versions. See also

We've installed new PC's with Office 2007 replacing PC's that had
Office 97. This department has many templates with multiple macros.
I've looked through past posts but they are mostly converting from
Word 2003. So I convert the template and save it as a dotm. Looking
in the add-in ribbon I only see one macro unrelated to that doc. I
go to macros and I see about 20 macros under this template. When I
go to organizer all I see is New Macros and Report macros which have
already been added to the normal.dotm. If I go to word options and
add-in, I don't see them there either. Can anyone shed some light as
to what needs to be done or am I out of luck and have to recreate the
macros? Also, if these templates are on a shared network drive,
would anyone who has access to the templates be able to execute these
macros? Thanks you very much. Terry
