This means the image doesn't really have a white or transparent background.
The only way you can correct this is to use an image editor and either
change the color of background (which usually doesn't work anyway) or make
the background transparent. Note if you opt for the latter you need to save
the image in a PNG format since jepgs don't support transparency.
