Actually, you don't even need to select the row first. When you Press
Alt+Shift+Up or Down, Word automatically selects the current row.

It still works the same way in 2007. What happens when you try it?
Another way to move a row within the same table is to select it and press
Alt+Shift+UpArrow or Alt+Shift+DownArrow. Each press moves it up or down
by one row.
