A normal Word table is in the text layer. Even if you have wrapped it, it is
still in the text layer. Do the headings in your tables use Word's built-in
heading styles? If not, do the styles have an outline level other than Body
Text? If not, have you assigned an outline level to them in the TOC Options?

Hi all,

I am trying to reference entries from a Word table into the Table of
Contents of my document. I have defined all of my headings in the
table but they just don't show up in my TOC. Is this even possible or
do I run into the same problem that Word has with referencing text
boxes? I know that it can only read what is in the text layer. I
guess I'm not sure whether a normal Word table is in the text layer or
if it is considered something else. At any rate, I haven't been able
to figure it out yet. I am grateful for any advice on this subject.
