I assume that your file contains pictures or objects like Excel graphs or
Visio diagrams, and that this is causing the large file size. The "disk is
full" message may be an indication of corruption rather than too big a file.

I would do the following:

1. Make a safe backup copy of your document so you can return to it if
necessary.

2. Go through Suzanne Barnhill's list for checking on the causes of large
file sizes, for example at

3. Follow the instructions for examining and correcting corruption in a Word
