The color is sequential. Mine started with light blue, then went to light
green, and so on. The first user/author gets the first color. Second
"commentator" gets the next color and so on. If you are pink, then change
your initials to something else and you'll get a new color. Excerpt:

"Comments in documents

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the User Information tab.
In the Initials box, type the initials or name that you want to use in your
own comments.

The information you type in the User Information dialog box is used by all
Microsoft Office programs. Therefore, any changes you make to these settings
