Default Numbering in a cell

There is no point telling ME this, as I perfectly well understand it. I was
replying to Twayne, who clearly did not (he wrote: "It sounds like you're
looking for a type of outlining Excel doesn't provide. Read Help; Index and
enter 'Outline' in the Find box." )Because Twayne had bottom-posted, it was
not clear that I was responding to him.

Read Maanu's response to your first post, which states: "I am talking
about a
cell inside a table in word."

Twayne's reply suggested that he thought otherwise.

This NG is for Word, not Excel.

Maanu typed:
Hi,

I have numbered items items in a cell. I pressed ctrl+tab
before the 5th item to make it the sub item of 4th item.
Nothing happened.

Is there any options to correct this?

Thanks,
Manu

It sounds like you're looking for a type of outlining Excel doesn't
provide. Read Help; Index and enter "Outline" in the Find box.

HTH,
