Default Highlight colors

This is a frequent request that doesn't seem to have made it onto
Microsoft's radar. Note, however, that although it is not as convenient, you
can use text shading (Format | Borders and Shading: Apply to: Text) in lieu
of highlighting.

I use the highlight function quite a bit while editing, especially while
using tracked changes. Since my changes are usually in red, I find that

there
are only a couple of colours I can use so that the text can be read

clearly
(especially on a hard copy). Would it be possible to perhaps lighten the
palette for the highlights--add pale blue, etc.?

Thanks.
