[removing all headers and footers[_2_]]

I am working on a copyedited manuscript that somehow has set the autocorrect
feature to work only in certain paragraphs, but not in others. I need to set
it so it works in all the manuscript paragraphs. Is there a way to control
where autocorrect operates? thanks. Joe
