How to write a table of contents in word
Are you creating the TOC manually, by typing? If so, don't. Assuming that you
have been using heading styles consistently, you can add a table of contents
which can be updated as you edit the document.
On the other hand, if you are using Word's TOC feature, adjust the tab stop
positions for the TOC styles. Since those styles, by default, are set to update
automatically, you should be able to just drag the tab stops on the ruler into
position.

Hi I have problems to accommodate my table of contents in word.
1
Intorduction...................................... .................................................5
1.1 Intorduction into
topic............................................. .....................5
1.2 Motivation und objective
target............................................ .......6
1.3 Structure of the
work.............................................. ...................... 7
The first item is given in my document. I want to create further sub-items.
The problem is that the page numbers 5 in 1st and 2nd line and 6 and 7 at the
right side are not straight lined.
My question: Is there any function to create the dots after "topic",
"target", "work" automatically that the page numbers at the end of every line
are straight lined?
Thanks in Advance
