I mean after downloading your Add-in, I found the following files related
to in My PC:

AND - Setup.doc.
Then - I double clicked (unintentionally) on the mentioned above Setup.doc
file. In a result, the instalation procedure was repeated and during this
time I got "SQL pop-up window" with the strange questions of the type
"YES/NO?", etc. Thus, the same event as described in this thread by Jeff
occured.

Well, does it mean that in coming future we will have an opportunity to
download a modified version of Task Pane Controller, which will work
properly until the next Microsoft "invention" aimed at the possible Office
update patch - destroying once again the Beth and Bill's add-in?.
I'm not sure if a new version will prevent the message. :-( I suspect the
SQL warning occurs because the Add-in modifies the Registry. If that's what
is causing it (that's one of the areas I plan on testing - I have a couple
ideas) then either MS needs to update their update or they've deemed
Registry modifications as "unsafe" and there will be little that can be done
except to override the SQL warning using a Reg hack to allow the
modification of a Reg hack. (Isn't security wonderful? LOL)
N.B. By mistake (i.e. not reading the Jeff's theme first), few days ago I
opened new thread entitled: "Word 2002: New document Task Pane - startup
problem"; From: Ajakibs (30-05-2008). Thus you can find further
information related to the considered theme. And sorry for making some
disorder related to repeating the similar subject in different discussion
threads.
No worries. Thanks for pointing me to your thread. :-) Unfortunately I'm
unable to see it here -- I can only see posts from the last 24 hours (to sum
it up in three words: Windows Live Mail) but I did locate it on Google
Groups. It sounds like you found the solution you were looking for since one
of the objectives of the Task Pane Controller is to modify the Registry. As
Suzanne noted, if what you are after is the Registry modification then you
can use the Task Pane Controller to make the modification and then remove it
from your Startup folder.
