Place a text form field (the "ab|" button on the Forms toolbar) in
the first cell of the table of labels. Double-click it to open its
Properties dialog. Check the box for "Calculate on exit". Notice

Put the cursor in the next cell. Go to Insert Reference Cross
Reference. Choose a reference type of "Bookmark", select the

contents of the empty form field. Click the ¶ button on the toolbar,
and you'll see five dots representing spaces. Copy that to the

Finally, click the lock icon on the Forms toolbar and save the
template. Use File New to get a document based on the template,
type in the information, and hit the Tab key. All the cross
reference fields will update to show copies of the form field
contents.

It isn't a good idea to try to make one document with multiple pages
of labels, because the location of the table on the page tends to
slip and no longer match the positions of the real labels on the
printer. Just make a new document from the template for each kind of
label.

What I would like to provide is a way that "Marmalade" can be typed
only once and fall into the correct nine label positions on the
pre-print. Then, he can enter in "Gooseberry" or whatever for the
next page. Whenever I click on New Document I get a full page of the
nine labels, but how do I most easily enter in the new copy that I
need? Thx,

In the Labels dialog, click the New Document button. When you save
the resulting document, set the "Save as type" dropdown in the Save
dialog to "Word Template (*.dot)".
