Are you witnessing this?

It could be a problem with the keyboard -- but if it's on a computer that
others are using it would be "odd" that this would only affect him.

If it is specific to HIS document, it's possible he has (inadvertantly?)
turned on "white" or "hidden" text. Use the mouse to select the area where
he is typing and then press "Ctrl+Space" -- this should wipe out any
formatting on the font. If that doesn't work, choose Format, Font and make
sure that HIDDEN is not checked, and the color is set to Automatic or Black.

Otherwise, it could be a keyboard problem. (You can try opening another
another program and seeing if the keyboard works in that.)
Try:
1. Make sure the keyboard is plugged in! (Unless it's a USB connection the
computer should be turned off before plugging/unplugging the keyboard or
mouse).

2. Try restarting the computer. This solves most of lifes problems...

3. Watch what someone who uses the keyboard with no problem does compared to
him.

Good luck!

I work in a school with a small network and one child has a problem that he
is unable to type any further words into document that he has already
started. The mouse works fine but when he uses the keyboard nothing
happens.
Has he got one over on me? Or am I missing something obvious. Any help
would
be appreciated.
