Thumbs up Answer: Putting a border along a margin

Hi Travis,

I can definitely help you with adding a border along the left margin of your report. Here are the steps you can follow:
  1. Open your report in Microsoft Word.
  2. Click on the Page Layout tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
  3. Click on Page Borders in the Page Background section.
  4. In the Borders and Shading dialog box that appears, click on the Page Border tab.
  5. Under Setting, select Box.
  6. Under Style, select the type of line you want for your border.
  7. Under Color, select the color you want for your border.
  8. Under Width, select the thickness you want for your border.
  9. Under Apply to, select This section - First page only (if you only want the border on the first page of your report) or This section - All except first page (if you want the border on all pages except the first).
  10. Under Preview, click on the box that represents the left side of the page.
  11. Under Options, set the margin to 2.5" (or whatever distance you want from the left edge of the page).
  12. Click OK to apply the border to your report.

That's it! Your report should now have a border along the left margin. Let me know if you have any questions or if there's anything else I can help you with.

Best regards,
[Your Name]
