For MS 2010, click "Insert" on the ribbon, then click on the "Equation" drop down list and click on the "Insert New Equation" option. A new ribbon will appear at the top and click on the "Matrix" drop down list. Click on the second box on the first row. Proceed and enter the atomic number, atomic mass and chemical symbol. Adjust font size and chemical symbol to the desired size. Save it as a new equation.
