Default Can headers and footers be selected with body text?

If the document content ends in a section break, you should get the header
and footer as well.

I have a client that needs to select all of the doc text including
headers and footers in a word doc and paste them into another doc. Is
there a way to do this with one select/copy operation? Right now they
have to copy header, footer, and body separately.

Need to know about this for Word versions ranging from 2000-2007.

Have you tried CTRL-A (Select All) followed by Copy/Paste?

Ctrl-A, or the menu option Select All, only select the doc body, or if
you're in the header, the header text. At least that's all I've ever
seen it do...I'm hoping there is a more universal equiv to Ctrl-A that
actually selects all.
