Default Printing a document

Hi Bob

I have a document that contains columns and text.

On my computer, this prints fine.

On some computers some of the data in one column will move into an adjacent
column after it's sent to print. This only happens when printing in the
"Print Layout" view but prints fine in the other views.

This affect is happening on one in three computers. Is this a column layout
problem and is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?

it's the first time I hear that the printout is different depending on
which view you're printing on. It's certainly not unheard of that
printouts differ on different computers. This is mostly due to different
printer drivers or printer driver settings (and/or lack of installed
fonts). [Word relies heavily on the printer driver to paginate the
document.]

Tools | Options | Compatibility: "Use printer metrics to lay out
document" should be turned off. With that, things have got a lot better.
If you need bullet proof stable pagination, you must convert to PDF
before switching machines.
