Default How do I open .WPD in Word 2004 on iMac w/Intel Processor?

Hi Kokie,

Sorry--not much you can do in MacWord. Options:

1) Ask the person to Save As RTF or .doc in Word Perfect and resend it.

2) Download one of the free word processors. I have opened WordPerfect
documents in AbiWord. The conversion is not perfect, but it was basically
functional.

I can't remember whether NeoOffice will open WordPerfect documents, the
website may say:
http://neooffice.com/

This is definitely a Mac-specific problem and would have gotten a *much*
faster response on the Mac-specific groups:
See here for Google/Entourage gateway to newsgroups for MacWord, MacExcel,
and other MS programs for the Mac:

(but if you hadn't put 2004 in the subject line, I never would have seen it
at all. Good going)

When I try to open a .wpd (WordPerfect from PC) file from the "File Open"
menu in Microsoft Word 2004 I just get a bunch of code. I tried all the
selections available. There is no selection for WordPerfect. What do I do?
