Thumbs up Answer: How to copy Table of Contents and move to another document?

Sure, I can help you with that! Here are the steps to copy a Table of Contents from one document to another:
  1. Open both documents (Doc 1 and Doc 2) in Microsoft Word.
  2. In Doc 1, click on the Table of Contents to select it.
  3. Press "Ctrl + C" on your keyboard to copy the Table of Contents.
  4. Switch to Doc 2.
  5. Place your cursor where you want to insert the Table of Contents.
  6. Click on the "Insert" tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
  7. Click on "Table of Contents" in the "Table of Contents" section.
  8. Select "Custom Table of Contents" at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
  9. In the "Table of Contents" dialog box, click on the "Options" button.
  10. In the "Table of Contents Options" dialog box, make sure that the "Styles" tab is selected.
  11. Under "Available styles," select each of the styles that you used in your original Table of Contents in Doc 1.
  12. Click on the "OK" button to close the "Table of Contents Options" dialog box.
  13. Back in the "Table of Contents" dialog box, click on the "OK" button to insert the Table of Contents into Doc 2.
  14. Save Doc 2.

Now your Table of Contents from Doc 1 should be copied over to Doc 2 and should be fully functional. If you see an error message, it's possible that the styles used in the original Table of Contents are not available in Doc 2. In that case, you can either modify the styles in Doc 2 to match the styles used in Doc 1, or you can modify the Table of Contents in Doc 2 to use the styles that are available.
