You cannot delete built-in categories. User-created categories cease to
exist when there are no building block entries of any kind that use that
category. Hence, one way is to delete all Building Block entries in the
category you want to delete. The other way is to edit each of the items in
that category and assign a different category to each item. Once the target
category is not being used for any building block items, it will no longer
be displayed in the drop down list of categories.
