I assume you already know how to increase the font size of any
selected text, and what you want is to increase the _default_ size in
new documents. To do that, you need to change the size of the Normal
style in the Normal.dot template. (Yes, I know that's a lot of
"Normals", but I didn't choose the names.) You may also have to change
some other styles in that template, as well as other templates you may
use.

that changes only the on-screen display and not the printing size.
