Default how do i convert pdf to jpeg?

Quite possibly the case. Unfortunately the OP really wasn't specific enough
in the request - I honestly can't tell whether they have a PDF they want to
convert to a JPG or whether there is an image *in* the PDF he/she wants to
extract as a separate JPG.

Paper Port must have come with my scanner because I didn't purchase or
install it seperately.

And I guess a low-tech way of making the conversion would be to print the
pdf on paper and scan the image...if all else fails.

It does come with some scanners, however; my husband got it with his.

Unfortunately Paper Port isn't something that everyone has. That software
isn't a freebie - it costs around US $99 & AFAIK doesn't even offer a free
trial. It definitely doesn't ship with any version of Windows or Office,
nor is it a MS product at all, so it doesn't help much to suggest the OP
use something they probably don't have.

Open the pdf file. Select File/Print. Change your printer selection to
Paper
Port (color or black and white as needed). When Paper Port opens file,
Save
As and change file type to jpg
