In a way. You can create a shortcut to start Word with the most recently
used file (the first one listed on the MRU list) opened. See the /mfilen

I often work with several documents open moving amongst them by clicking
under Windows on the taskbar. At the end of the day, upon exiting Word
and
shutting down the computer, it would be nice when I come in the next day
just
to open Word and have all those documents already open and waiting than to
try to recall which ones I was using. Guess I'm spoiled.
