Default how to lock colums/rows in mailMerge word document

What you ask is not possible. Any document you allow someone to see can be
edited. PDF makes it just that bit more difficult.

Convert it to PDF format. There are free PDF Converters such as
PrimoPDF that do a good job. Google for them.

Good morning Cindy

Yes, I am talking about the document that results from the mail
merge. How do I do that?

Thank you for your response.

I'm currently using Microsoft Word for Windows® 97. I have created
the MailMerge the DataSource is from Excel, where I do all my
calculations. Now, I want to lock the the colums/rows so that
users cannot edit anything in my word document.

What you're doing isn't quite clear - too little information.

Are you talking about locking the document that results from the
mail merge? Or something else?
