I understand your concern. Here's how you can delete a section break but keep the formatting above it:
- First, make sure that you can see the section break. Go to the "Home" tab and click on the "Show/Hide" button (it looks like a paragraph symbol) to display all formatting marks, including section breaks.
- Place your cursor just above the section break that you want to delete.
- Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard. This will delete the section break and merge the two sections into one.
- If the formatting above the section break changes, you can use the "Undo" button (or press "Ctrl+Z" on your keyboard) to undo the deletion and restore the formatting.
- If you want to remove all the content below the section break, you can select it and press "Delete" on your keyboard.
