You will be able to gain direct control over your column widths and not have
them keep changing on you.

If I disable auto resizing, what other things might happen
as a result?

-----Original Message-----
It should help to press Alt while dragging to override

the grid. Also, make
sure that auto resizing is disabled.

When adjusting the column widths using the mouse cursor,
sometimes the boundary lines move to where you want it

to;
sometimes it jumps around and reformats the entire

table.

How can I adjust table width without this problem?

Thanks.

Our office uses Word 2003 on Windows XP Professional.
