Default omit text from table of contents

Hi. I'm using Microsoft Word 2003. I'm creating a automatic table of contents
based on a style. This generates a table of contents just fine. However some
of my table captions are as follows:

Table 2. Summary of cost estimates for 2007 (page 1 of 2).

In the automatically generated TOC all of this caption shows up. However, I
would like to remove "(page 1 of 2)" from the TOC. I know how to manually
delete this text, but when I update the TOC it comes back (and it don't want
to just update the page numbers). I have 60 tables in this document so I do
not want to manually mark each title with {TC}. Is there a way that I can set
up the TOC to omit "(page 1 of 2)" from all table entries? Maybe using a
switch?

Thanks -
