Default Entering text in the auto shape box in Word 2003

Hi Kemp,

I'm not sure I'm following what you're trying to do.
Right click on an autoshape then Edit Text would allow you to add text to a shape. If you're referring to the Drawing canvas (the
shape with angle brackets at the corner holding your other shapes) then the canvas doesn't include the ability to have its own text,
it's a holder of other shapes.

You could insert a rectangle shape/textbox and turn off the borders of that shape and add text to it to make it appear that the
text was for the overall drawing Canvas.

How do I enter text inside the auto shape box but not necessarily inside the basic shapes themselves, e.g. a circle, triangle,
etc.

I hope this helped you,
