Tools AutoCorrect (or AutoCorrect Options) AutoFormat as you type (tab)
Check the option for "set left- and first-indent with tab key.

The shortcut keys of tab and shift-tab does not work when I do an outline
format. I have the options set up correctly, however, upon pressing
'enter'
after the first line of the outline, it goes to the next number. When I

tab, it does not go to the next level (A) but just a plain tab space.
also,
when I push shift-tab, it does a regular tab, as well, instead of going
backwards.
I've had our IT department look at it but it wasn't solved.
