Default Table of Contents - Suppress Outline Numbering/Mark for TOC header

Sorry, I should have indicated I am working in Word 2003.
As well, this is an 80 page document, so I'd prefer NOT to have to manually
mark the entire document, if at all possible.

Thanks!

I have two issues.

Firstly, I want to create a table of contents that does not show the outline
numbering. For example, I want it to read as follows:

Name..............1
Definitions........2
Purpose...........4

as an example... where my outline numbering in my document could actually
read:

Section 1 Name
1.01 Text

Section 2 Definitions
2.01 Text
2.02 Text

Section 3 Purpose
3.01 Text

I only want the first level numbering to appear, that is the "section"
numbering, but do NOT want it to say SECTION 1 in the TOC.

Second issue:
I have recurring chapter headings in the header, for example:

ARTICLE 1 - Interpretation and Corporate Matters
ARTICLE 2 - Membership
ARTICLE 3 - Reporting

which repeat for each page of the chapter. I want to include this in the
TOC, so it reads, in the end, as follows:

ARTICLE 1 - Interpretation and Corporate Matters

Name.....................1
Definitions..............2
Purpose.................4

ARTICLE 2 - Membership

Categories............5
Broker..................7

etc.

Unfortunately, it seems one cannot Mark for TOC in a header.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this feat?

I appreciate any assistance available.

Best,
