You can use any digits or letters, any character with ASCII value greater
than 127, space, or any of these: $ % ' - _ @ ~ ` ! ( ) { } ^ # & + , ; =
[ ]
That is, everything except : * ? / \ | "
You can also have multiple periods within a filename (the file extension is
whatever follows the last of them) -- but I recommend you don't do that.
Maximum length is 246 or 256 characters depending on your file system.
