Default MACROBUTTON field suddenly stopped working

It could have been a temporary file issue - see

Thanks Bob, but it wasn't a Macro Security issue. My macros were
running correctly when run from everywhere but the MACROBUTTON fields.

In a fit of frustrated desperation, I quit Word and restarted. That
seemed to clear the problem up, though I don't know what was wrong to
begin with. Even though it "resolved itself," I still wish I knew
what had happened to make the fields inoperative. Oh well.

Thanks for your help, though.

One thought that comes to mind first off - What level is your Macro
Security set to? If *High* or *Very High* your macros are most
likely disabled.

Hello All,

I am puzzled out of my mind.I have a couple of MACROBUTTON fields
that I use to to insert blocks of AutoText. These MACROBUTTONs were
working just fine a little bit ago but, suddenly, they stopped
working.

The macros work, when I run them from the Tools|Macro|Macros menu
option, from the custom menu options I created for them, and when I
run them from the VBA editor. What does *not* work is when I call
them from a MACROBUTTON field! Even though they worked recently.

I tried creating new MACROBUTTON fields, on the off-chance
something changed in the ones I originally had, but new ones don't
work either. It is very frustrating.

I am working with Word 2003 on a Windows XP SP2 system. Does anyone
have any ideas as to what might be causing this trouble?

Thanks,
~Jeff
