See the article "Mail Merge to E-mail with Attachments" at:
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MailMerge/...ttachments.htm
and to create the individual attachments, see the "Individual Merge Letters"
item on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's website at:
http://www.gmayor.com/individual_merge_letters.htm
If you are using Word XP or later, the "Add-in to Merge Letters to Separate
Files" that I have written and that can be downloaded from that site will
allow you to create each letter as a separate file with a filename taken
from a field in the data source with a minimum of fuss.

I created a word document that has a picture/logo, text box & a hyperlink
for
replying to our business. When I view the image in word, it looks
perfect.
When I send via mail merge to various email addresses, the quality of the
fonts & images become quite poor.
I also had the issue of when I view the "sent message" the text is
stripped
out. But it seems that all the recipients received the text just fine.
My mailto: link is also not active when the recipeint receives it.
I am not merging any fields except the to: for email.
