I tried forwarding to alternate email, I reinstalled office. I searched
here for similiar problems but found no solution. Any suggestions on
something else to try would be appreciated. Thank-you

I've never seen it quite like that, but whenever a Wordfile comes up
badly through an email, the usual solution is to zip it before attaching
it. Some mailservers (or email clients) seem to think the attachment was
"text" and try to encode it badly, I guess.
