Hi there!
No worries, I can definitely help you change the cut/copy/paste shortcuts back to the classic
Ctrl+X/C/V.
Here are the steps:
- Open Microsoft Word.
- Click on the "File" tab in the top left corner.
- Click on "Options" at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
- In the Word Options window, click on "Customize Ribbon" on the left-hand side.
- Click on the "Customize..." button next to "Keyboard shortcuts" at the bottom of the window.
- In the "Customize Keyboard" window, under "Categories" on the left-hand side, select "Edit."
- Under "Commands" on the right-hand side, select "Cut," "Copy," or "Paste," depending on which shortcut you want to change.
- Click inside the "Press new shortcut key" box and press the keys you want to use for the shortcut (e.g. Ctrl+X for Cut).
- If the shortcut is already assigned to another command, it will be displayed in the "Currently assigned to" box. You can either choose a different shortcut or remove the existing one by selecting it and clicking the "Remove" button.
- Once you have assigned the new shortcut, click the "Assign" button, then click "Close" to close the "Customize Keyboard" window.
- Repeat steps 7-10 for each shortcut you want to change.
That's it! Your cut/copy/paste shortcuts should now be back to the classic
Ctrl+X/C/V.
