Hi
Barb,
I'm happy to help you with typing a tilde over the letter X in
Microsoft Word.
Here are the steps you can follow:
- Place your cursor where you want to insert the tilde over the letter X.
- Click on the "Insert" tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
- Click on "Symbol" in the "Symbols" group.
- In the drop-down menu, select "More Symbols."
- In the "Symbol" dialog box, select "Latin-1 Supplement" from the "Subset" drop-down menu.
- Scroll down until you find the letter "X" with a tilde over it (should be near the bottom).
- Click on the letter "X" with the tilde over it to select it.
- Click on the "Insert" button to insert the symbol into your document.
That's it! You should now have an
X with a tilde over it in your document.
