Thumbs up Answer: trying to make medical symbol for "with"

Hi Colleen,

It sounds like you're trying to type the medical symbol for "with," which is a lowercase c with a line over it. Here's how you can do it in Microsoft Word:
  1. Place your cursor where you want to insert the symbol.
  2. Go to the Insert tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
  3. Click on Symbol in the Symbols section of the ribbon.
  4. Select More Symbols at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
  5. In the Symbol dialog box, select Arial Unicode MS from the Font drop-down menu.
  6. Scroll down until you find the symbol you're looking for (it should be near the bottom of the list).
  7. Double-click on the symbol to insert it into your document.

Alternatively, you can use a keyboard shortcut to insert the symbol:

1. Place your cursor where you want to insert the symbol.
2. Hold down the Alt key on your keyboard.
3. Type 0233 (without the quotes) on the numeric keypad.
4. Release the Alt key.

This should insert the symbol into your document.
