Default Can't find short cut for changing case ... upper case .... lower case

You're welcome. On the bright side, you're on the same playing field as
almost everyone else - even the 20 year veterans of Word. ;-)

Change Case (Aa) is on the Home tab in the Font group. Second row to the
left of the Text Highlight tool. If you use this command frequently you
can add it to your Quick Access Toolbar to make it more accessible. To do
so, right click the Change Case button and then click "Add to Quick
