The letter will not be included in the TOC unless it is actually part of the
page number (that is, it is the number of a heading that you have included
using the "Include chapter number" option). See

I have several appendices that I have added autotext in the footer. I
would
like that text to be reflected in the table of contents
Example: On the first page of Appendix A, the autotext is A- (which is
right before the page number).
The A refers to the Appendix Letter.
The following is an example of the footer for Appendix A:
Word Document
A-1
I want to include the A- in my table of contents. So it looks like the
following:
Appendix
A................................................. ..........................
......A-1
Appendix
B................................................. ..........................
.......B-1
Appendix
C................................................. ..........................
.......C-1
Is there any way to do this so it is automatic? I can change it manually
in
the toc, but prefer to find another way. Hopefully I have explained this
properly and someone can help me. It would be much appreciated.
